The seven wildfires that sprang up Wednesday on the border of Contra Costa and Alameda Counties were 100 percent contained by Thursday night, officials said.
Dubbed the Grant Fire, the blazes burned a total of 484 acres near Camino Diablo and the Alameda County line, according to Cal Fire. Firefighters battled strong winds up to 50 mph as they fought the flames on Wednesday and Thursday.
By 6:47 p.m., the fires had been fully contained.
One structure was destroyed by the fire, said Pam Temmermand, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Fire and Forestry Protection. No injuries were reported.
