
Two people were killed in a house fire in Farmington, Ontario County, early Tuesday morning.
According to Ontario County Sheriff Kevin Henderson, an 84-year-old woman and her 12-year-old grandson died in a house fire on Ellsworth Road. A man escaped safely from the burning home before firefighters arrived.
Emergency responders were called to Ellsworth Road around 2:45 a.m., deputies said.
The fire heavily damaged the house. Further details were not immediately available.
Ellsworth Road is just east of Alderman Road in Farmington.
