One-alarm fire breaks out at two-family home in Somerville - The Boston Globe

A one-alarm fire at a two-family home in Somerville remained under investigation Friday night, an official said.

Deputy Fire Chief Sean Tierney said four people were displaced during the fire.

Crews responded to the home at 134 Willow Ave. around 1:45 p.m. The fire caused extensive damage to the first floor, according to the fire department.

Smoke damage was found on the second and third floors of the home, , firefighters said.

An image of the scene showed heavy flames bursting from the home’s front window.

One of the home’s six occupants was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, firefighters said. No other injuries were reported.

The home was built in 1920, according to Somerville assessment records. The property was valued at $974,800.
