DAYTON, Nev. (KOLO)-- One person died early Saturday in a house fire on Nugget Lane in Dayton, County Manager Jeff Page reported.
The fire happened just before 1 a.m. at the single-family home, Page said. Two people made it out of the home and one did not.
The fire is being investigated by the Central Lyon County Fire Protection District and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office. The Nevada State Fire Marshal’s Office has been notified.
Units from Storey County, the North Lyon County Fire Protection District and East Fork Fire Protection District assisted.
One firefighter was treated and released for injuries.
