California family devastated from wildfires receive a 'Christmas miracle' - KOKH FOX25

A California family that lost everything to a wildfire found a 'Christmas miracle' in Abilene.

Justin Ueda, his wife, and their daughter moved to west Texas from Paradise, California.

They lost everything in one of the deadliest wildfires in U.S. history.

Some 50,000 people in Paradise and neighboring towns were evacuated when the Camp Fire started Nov. 8.

The fire killed at least 85 people, destroyed nearly 14,000 homes and burned more than 153,000 acres.

"It's been overwhelming the past few months. Texas has been really good to us," Ueda said.

The family received a couch, TV, food, and gifts from a group of local motorcycle clubs.

The clubsgot together over the weekend to help the less fortunate.

"It's amazing," said Chere Armstrong,.

Armstrong and her four young children also received gifts from the clubs.

She told KTXS that she was not sure how she was going to give her children a Christmas.

The motorcycle clubs have been preparing for this "Christmas miracle" for weeks, collecting items that they knew the families would truly need.

"We pulled through coming up with stuff so that they could have a Christmas this year," said one motorcycle club member.
