After the Woolsey fire in Malibu, California, destroyed nearly 670 structures—many of which were celebrity homes—Miley Cyrus revealed she had a "strange premonition" that something like that would happen. Miley, sadly, was one of the celebrities who lost her home in the massive fire.
While speaking with Ryan Seacrest during his radio show about her just-released song, "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart," Miley explained these lyrics:"This burning house / There's nothing left / It's smoking and we both know it."

She explained:
We've been working for the past year and a half on the next record…So I didn't know the best way to come out of this blackout period, but it's actually really crazy because I wrote this song with Mark [Ronson] in May before we actually lost our Malibu house...It was like this strange premonition so the timing just worked out.
Even though Miley had a weird feeling about the fires, please don't go blaming her for not warning anyone or stopping it because that's just unfair.
And while she lost the home she shared with Liam Hemsworth in the devastating fires, Miley said she's choosing "post-traumatic growth" instead of post-traumatic stress. "I had a choice of post-traumatic stress or post-traumatic growth and I think you always feel you don't have control especially when something happens that's a natural disaster because there's no beating nature," she elaborated.
After the fire, Miley and Liam pledged to be supportive neighbors and to donate $500,000 to the Malibu Foundation to help rebuild the community.
