Lightning Blamed for House Fires in Burleson, Mansfield - NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Lightning from Friday's turbulent weather is being blamed for starting two house fires in Burleson and Mansfield.

In Burleson, a fire was reported at a home on the 100 block of Country Vista Circle at about 7:30 p.m.

Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting from the roof; the home was eventually engulfed in flames.

Preliminary reports indicate lightning is to blame. No injuries have been reported.

In Mansfield, a house fire there also appears to have been started by lightning.

Crews from Mansfield and Midlothian fire departments both were called to fight a fire at a home in the 1300 block of Montaigne Road.

Investigators say they are still working to determine an exact cause. No one was hurt in the fire.
